STORY OF RACHANA KEO

FOUNDER OF HAIYAEL INCORPORATED

My family and I endured the loss of our baby girl in November 2015. As you could imagine, this was an extremely heartbreaking moment.

Having just delivered my baby at 24 weeks gestation, I experienced debilitating shock and grief causing me to shut down emotionally and became numb.   I left the hospital in such a blurry state of mind that I found making decisions concerning my baby and the funeral arrangements very difficult.

To me, organising my baby’s farewell was very personally and intimate.  I was thankful to take the time to plan things in a way meaningful to our family.  We took two and a half weeks planning the details which allowed us to slowly say goodbye which has created special memories for us to cherish.

Not knowing what to expect of a crematorium, I was pleased to find it so professionally clean and spacious, fitting for its purpose.  I chose to decorated our daughter’s coffin and urn which I found therapeutic.

Having spoken to other families in similar situations I am very aware of how vastly different people grieve and wish to farewell their little ones in personal ways.  I know the importance of someone listening to you and will attempt to accommodate to your needs.
